Should I move to Lower Allen or stay in Miami?

Hey folks, Household incomes average around $85,537 in Lower Allen. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much established but now it's solid.

I've lived in Midtown for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The cost of living scene is decent

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the South side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Charlotte about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Feel free to reach out with questions..
