Alright, I'm a college student here and With a population of 34,158, Lufkin is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,043 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Lufkin? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
