Biggest downsides of living in Lufkin?

First post here. We have two kids and Rent is about $1,043/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,158 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
