Hey everyone, I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -Lula sits at 121.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $205,300 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- The food scene scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I'm a HR manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is improving and there's always something going on.
