What Lumberton does better than anywhere else

Crime rate is something to consider -Lumberton sits at 168.1 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 13,803 people. You can expect to pay around $982 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Nice parks and trails
- Easy commute
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Lack of diversity
Should I be concerned? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
