Moving to Lutz with kids -good idea?

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Lutz sits at 315.8 per 100K. Homes are going for about $451,800 on average. Rent is about $1,648/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
