Worst things about Lynchburg nobody talks about

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $1,043/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $59,808 in Lynchburg. You can expect to pay around $1,043 for rent here. The median home value here is around $211,800, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Any advice would be great. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development.
