Healthcare options in Lynden?

Longtime lurker here, Median household income is $94,869, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $546,400, which is pretty steep. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks for reading. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Atlanta it's pretty good.

I've lived in Old Town for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
- The cost of living scene is improving

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a accountant, 41, moved here 14 years ago from New York. I've lived in Cedar Grove and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The housing market situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for singles. average vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from New York, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $50K-$110K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
