Lynden job market vs Indianapolis

I'm single, late 20s, and Rent is about $1,623/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $546,400 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Is this normal for Lynden? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much growing but now it's solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 2 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
