Planning a move to Lyndhurst -neighborhoods?

Been meaning to ask this. Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $88,701, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Lyndhurst sits at 104.4 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
