First time home buyer in Lynn

Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,612/month for a decent place. Median household income is $74,715, which feels about average for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 101K people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The food scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
