Relocating to Lynnwood, WA -pros and cons?

Hey, Household incomes average around $76,439 in Lynnwood. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Lynnwood? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in West for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good airport with direct flights
- The weather scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 15 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is decent - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Limited entertainment options. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
