Cheapest neighborhoods in Mableton?

Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,399/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Mableton sits at 287.2 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Came here for work and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The safety is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
