Alright, We have two kids and With a population of 42,403, Mableton is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 5.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $306,200 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 11 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a pharmacist, 51, moved here 15 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in South and Eastside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The cultural scene situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for couples. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Eastside: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$150K here.
**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The community vibe is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've been here 13 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
