What surprised you most about Mack?

Just moved here 16 months ago and Household incomes average around $118,825 in Mack. The unemployment rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. the quality of life is solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 9 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
