Working remotely from Macon-Bibb County — my experience

I've been working remotely from Macon-Bibb County for 3 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Macon-Bibb County is underrated for remote workers.

Check out the Southside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is check out the local Facebook groups for neighborhood info. Makes a big difference.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Don't sleep on Southside. It's up and coming and still affordable.

As someone who moved here from San Francisco, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Westside and Eastside are perfectly safe.
