Dog-friendly places in Macon?

So, I work in energy and It's a a small town city with about 1,035 people. The median home value here is around $109,500, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? TIA! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely underrated and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Old Town) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.
