Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -Macon sits at 290.3 per 100K. Household incomes average around $51,103 in Macon. Poverty rate is 14.2%, which is around average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
- The walkability scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
