How much do you pay for rent in Madison Heights?

So, Just moved here 17 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Madison Heights sits at 176.2 per 100K. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $66,726, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Worth the trade-offs? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Baltimore about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Feel free to reach out with questions..
