Hi all, Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 20.3%, which is higher than I expected. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..
