Magna metro township quality of life -am I missing something?
Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 9 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Magna metro township sits at 752.2 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Magna metro township? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Can feel isolated. And housing market can be frustrating.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much manageable but now it's pretty good.

Background: I'm a project manager, 28, moved here 1 years ago from Chicago. I've lived in South and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The walkability situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for families. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.
