Magna metro township quality of life -am I missing something?

Military spouse here. With a population of 29,488, Magna metro township is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $87,516, which feels pretty solid for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Hope this helps!.
