What's it really like living in Magnolia?

Hey, Poverty rate is 21.9%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $622/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Thanks in advance!

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Asian.

No regrets on my end..
