What's it really like living in Mahtomedi?

OK so Just moved here 9 months ago and Homes are going for about $466,100 on average. With a population of 8,108, Mahtomedi is a small town. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,608 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I overthinking this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
