Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much affordable but now it's decent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like sushi.
