Hi all, Just moved here 4 months ago and Median household income is $40,602, which feels on the lower side for the area. With a population of 10,938, Malvern is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for Malvern? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The food scene is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The weather is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 12 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
