Is Mamaroneck worth it salary-wise?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 19,840 people. The median home value here is around $705,200, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $705,200 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
