Median household income is $100,668, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $381,200 on average. With a population of 16,923, Manassas Park is a small town. Household incomes average around $100,668 in Manassas Park. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a HR manager, 56, moved here 9 years ago from LA. I've lived in Greenfield and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Property taxes are high
3. The public transit situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for young professionals. decent vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from LA, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$140K here.
**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 6 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
