First post here. Been living here since 2013. Homes are going for about $434,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Manassas sits at 246.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
