Manchester job market vs Tampa

So, I work in manufacturing and Median household income is $76,780, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $205,800 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. TIA! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much stable but now it's underrated.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is average in most areas.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- The public transit scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely challenging and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (West) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.
