Career opportunities in Manchester, MO

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Homes are going for about $298,400 on average. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. TIA! Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Mediterranean places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in government. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Salt Lake City it's excellent.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.
