Housing market in Manchester — is it worth buying?

Median home value here is around $336,300. Prices are reasonable compared to major metros. For those renting, typical rent is $1465.

Is now a good time to buy in Manchester? Or better to keep renting?

Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

Coming from Philadelphia, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

The job market has been improving lately. Several government companies moved in recently.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Oakwood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

I've lived in Midtown for 6 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.
