Best hidden gems in Manchester

Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 6,018, Manchester is a small town. Rent is about $1,643/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thanks in advance! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
