Is Manhasset still affordable?

My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a small town city with about 7,730 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Manhasset sits at 26.2 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? Thanks for reading. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Riverside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The job market scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
