Best companies to work for in Manhattan Beach?

OK so My partner and I are Rent is about $3,492/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,584 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 10 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 41, moved here 5 years ago from Denver. I've lived in Downtown and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The walkability situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for families. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $40K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much wild but now it's improving.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely improving and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The nightlife is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
