Hey, Any advice would be great. TIA! Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Raleigh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Riverside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- The healthcare scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for family and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The walkability is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for family and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The weather is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
