I've lived in Sunset for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The weather is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
