First post here. Poverty rate is 7.3%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
