Is Manorhaven a good place to live?

Alright, My family moved here when I was a kid. Household incomes average around $93,322 in Manorhaven. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. Thanks for reading. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Uptown for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- The safety scene is average

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in education. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for work and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community vibe is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 57, moved here 3 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in North and Oak Park, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Affordable housing options
2. Good airport with direct flights
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The public transit situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for couples. solid vibes, walkable.
- Oak Park: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in East. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in retail. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights
- The traffic scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.
