Hello, My partner and I are The median home value here is around $546,600, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
