Top 5 things I love about Mansfield

I've been here for 1 years and With a population of 75,398, Mansfield is a smaller city. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
