What surprised you most about Manville?

Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Thanks!

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a nurse and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

Moved here from Miami about 12 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to healthcare but Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a sales manager, 41, moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Springfield and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The outdoor recreation situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for retirees. solid vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $50K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
