Moving to Maple Grove with kids -good idea?

Alright, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $1,863/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $129,481 in Maple Grove. Homes are going for about $397,400 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
