Maple Heights job market vs Baltimore

Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $89,600, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $89,600 on average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Lakewood area are challenging. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Westside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cost of living scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
