Living in Marana -the reality

Alright, Just moved here 6 months ago and Median household income is $108,256, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely excellent and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (West) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great Vietnamese places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
