So, The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Nashville it's underrated.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community vibe is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The cultural scene is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
