How much do you pay for rent in Marathon?

Alright, I'm single, late 20s, and Median household income is $80,556, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,592/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $683,700, which is pretty steep. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Friendly people
- Low crime in most areas
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
Let me know your thoughts. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Came here for school and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The safety is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
