Housing market in Marco Island right now

The median home value here is around $866,200, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? Cheers. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I'm a lawyer and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Midtown for 3 years. Moved from Denver for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Midtown schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Rising rent and home prices. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 5/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

I've lived in East for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size
- The weather scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.
