So, Household incomes average around $104,105 in Marco Island. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for work and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The housing market is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Westside area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 2 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Riverside for 6 years. Moved from Raleigh for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is tough - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Riverside schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited high-paying job options. And public transit can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in government. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like seafood.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
