Cheapest neighborhoods in Margate?

Random thought, We're a young couple and It's a a smaller city city with about 58,418 people. Rent is about $1,662/month for a decent place. Median household income is $60,852, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $60,852 in Margate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in East for 2 years. Moved from Dallas for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
construction is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is tough - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Road conditions need improvement. Homeless population growing downtown. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor recreation is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
